I wanted to do something out of the norm this year for Christmas with these moulds that are manufactured by Prima Marketing Inc. There is so many designs to choose from. I picked up some Wiltons Candy Melts at Walmart the other day for 2.29 a bag.

I made sure my moulds were clean by giving them a good soak & scrub with Dawn soap & hot water. I took a glass microwave bowl & melted the candy in 30 sec spurts. Making sure I didn't melt them too much. You only want to melt them to the point that it rolls up like clay. You will learn quickly how long to microwave them to get it to a clay consistency. If you melt them too much, just let it set for a bit and the candy will harden up again. Important tip: You can certainly melt the candies and pour into the moulds (they are silicone and can take the heat no problem), however-it does pour over the edge and this will take additional "clean up" on the image and creates a bit of waste of the candy. It's easier to make the candy doughy to form into the mould with clean edges.

I then added green fishing line to the backs of the candy while they were still soft. Your guest can just pitch the fishing line after eating the candy ornaments. (This of course is optional. If you have children eating the candy, leave out the line. You can display them in a candy dish instead of hanging them. )

I filled the moulds & figured out the best method was to let them set up at room temperature. If you put them in the fridge make sure you run hot water on the backs of the moulds to loosen the candy from the moulds.

I used edible metallic spray & sugar crystals to decorate the candy . These are a perfectly edible and a beautiful treat for your Christmas parties.
