Recycled Wood Top Sign by Rehab To Fab

Not only do we have a very cool project for you today by Stephanie Coon from Rehab to Fab, but we also have something brand new to share too! In the next couple of months, we will be releasing our innovative DIY products and tools from our [re]design collection by Prima. So, we thought it would be fun to kick off with something fabulous to get the excitement going! And Stephanie has done just that. Let's take a peek at what she did...

This is an old wood top from a buffet that Stephanie had stashed in her workshop and thought it would be perfect to recycle into signage...

Use Fusion's Beeswax stick for distressing the edges...

She grabbed one of our new [re]design stencils and an IOD decor transfer to get the plan rolling. This stencil is a basket weave style on a large scale for larger furniture or DIY home projects..And it is made of 14mL mylar for durability and strength....

For a tone on tone effect, grab two colors from the same color family in various shades. Here, she used Fusion Mineral Paints in Raw Silk and Putty from their Penney and Co. collection.

Paint the background in Putty and then use Raw Silk for the stenciled pattern. Add the second color lightly for a soft, distressed look....

To top it off, add an IOD Decor Transfer. The Farmhouse transfer (815509) adds the perfect finishing touch and the charcoal pops against the two tone neutral background. Plus Stephanie is amazing at staging too!  See her gorgeous pieces and step by steps on her page: Rehab to Fab on Facebook
