Upcycled Little Frames by Secret Garden Chic

Today, we wanted to feature these beautiful little works of art by Magdalena of Secret Garden Chic. She has transformed some inexpensive plastic frames from the dollar store, into gorgeous treasures using our [re]design mediums and tools. We think you are going to love these!

Can you believe these started out as plastic frames? Its amazing what she did to make them go from boring to wow using her talents! For this set, she used Chalk Paste®, Finnabair White Crackle Paste and Van Dyke Glaze by Dixie Belle Paint company.

The glaze works perfectly with the mediums to give it an aged look. The chalk paste adds a nice layer of color, dimension and interest to the overall design….

The antiqued look she created is just wonderful. It looks like it has been layered with paints over the years and aged to perfection…

The next framed project she created has more of a traditional old french style, that brings out the ornate features of the frame beautifully.

For this frame she applied crackle paste, white Chalk Paste®, Eternal Decor Wax and the Van Dyke Glaze. The chippy-ness is fantastic. You would never know this started off as a plastic frame from the dollar store.
