He started by taping around the plate, removed the glass and top. Then he added an outdoor paint that can be used on metal. There are several kinds and colors to choose from out there so pick the color that matches the colors of your home.

Next, he decided to give the glass inserts some posh and pizazz using the Silk Screen Stencil, Sinclaire Regal (632724). This thin stencil allows you to add beautiful details and sticks to the surface to keep the design edges clean, resulting in a professional finish.

And last but not least, he added a portion of the Decor Transfer™ from the Floral Home set. The transfers can be cut apart and used in various ways to fit the area you wish to add them too.
