DIY Holiday Ornaments

DIY ornamnets can be as simple or elaborate as you want! For the easist project, add some quick set resin to one of our holiday moulds and in minutes you have a casting that is ready to be decorated. Don’t be afraid to incorporated other elements an make more elaborate creations. Check out some of the beautiful ornaments created by some of our design team!

“These cute ornaments are so easy to make! I rolled out some Modeling Material with a rolling pin and cut into it with a cookie cutter. Next I took a variety of stamps and stamped into each ornament. The Modeling Material is great for this because it isn’t sticky, so you can get a clean image. I let the ornaments dry for at least 24 hours. Then I painted them with Sparks Acrylic Paint. On top of that I took a paintbrush and painted Finnabair’s new Effect pastes onto each ornament. I used Sugar Cookie Christmas Tinsel Trim to add a hanger to each ornament and then topped them off with a gorgeous Prima flower!” -Shannon

“I created a couple of heart-shape ornaments, silver bells and a Victorian adornment. I created moulded embellishments from various Redesign decor moulds and added these to the heart-shape pieces. I made them all shabby chic achieving this look with amazing Redesign chalk pastes, Memory Hardware Artisan powders and some Finnabair paints and waxes.” – Tanya

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! As I’m looking at my neighbour’s balconies and gardens I can already say it’s the Christmas season. I love baubles moulds and I make them every year to decorate my house. This year I wanted to make something classic and elegant. I used Brass Paste from the Patina set and some white wax to highlight all details. BUT! Those moulds are so beautiful I left some just white and I think it’s a great and easy to make gift for friends and family.” -Reniferove
