Faux Patina And Decor Moulds®️ For Amazing Home Decor
Would you like to create amazing patina in a few simple steps? Do you want to create one of a kind home decor? Look no further! Crystin Min who is the owner and creative behind Eclat Designs by Crystin created this amazing watering can. Crystin used Redesign With Prima Decor Moulds®️ and Finnabair’s Art Extravagance Patina Effect Paste.
Decor Moulds®️ for Unique Character
Crystin used a vintage watering can for this project. You can recreate this look on any home decor you like or you can find a watering can at your local thrift store. You can even use one that is not vintage by shopping on Amazon.
The Decor Mould®️ that was used, is called Vintage Roots. The mould has many vegetable shapes like a carrot, beet, mushroom and radish. Perfect for a watering can!
Creating And Adding Moulds
Crystin used casting resin to create her appliqués. The casting resin captures all of the details in the mould. Once the moulds were made Crystin glued them onto her watering can with e6000.
After the moulds were set and the glue was dried, Crystin used Finnabair’s Art Extravagance Patina Effect Paste.
Creating Faux Patina
The first step in this process is to paint your piece with the brass. Once the brass was dried, Crystin applied the bright blue and green by dabbing it on erratically with a small brush onto the moulding’s to mimic real verdigris.
Although the Patina Effect Paste dries permanent, you can certainly seal it with your favorite topcoat for extra protection.
Look at how amazing this project turned out!!
