Marie Antoinette Nightstands
What a visual delight these nightstands are! We can really appreciate the transformation of this pair by looking closely at the “Before” pictures. Our Brand Ambassador, Crystin, artfully took these pieces “over -the-top” to let us imagine just exactly how they might look in Marie Antoinette’s boudoir.

I’m proud to introduce to you my Marie Antoinette nightstands, inspired by the extravagant baroque/rococo style of Versaille. I was swept away by the romance and luxury of the french court where fashion was the joie de vivre and intrigue second nature. I love the pairing of pastel colors with floral patterns and gold. It’s not often I have the opportunity to create something from my most whimsical fantasies. I worked tirelessly for over a week to create these beauties, truly a labor of love. I forgot how much of a challenge gold leaf is, at times using a pair of tweezers just to get the placement correct and cover a tiny spot I had missed. I used Rustoleum’s primer and Highland Blue milk paint and brushed a bit of redesign with prima chalk paste in gravel to add some depth. I created all the moulds on the sides with resin using redesign with prima moulds: Divine Floral, Sicily Frame, Greco Crest, and Hollybrook Ironwork. All gold leafed. The front drawers have the lavender bush transfer and stenciling done with the silk screen stencils and more chalk paste. The little cameos are painted. The top has an artistic marbling effect. I hope they delight you as much as I am captivated. You can see the marbling technique and more photos on my page https://www.facebook.com/eclatdesignsbycrystin
