Moroccan Sunset Dresser
Project by: Eclat Designs by Crystin
This dresser is the stuff of sunset dreams, where a peach-colored sky suffused with pinks, sultry reds, and the golden glow of promise; brings you pure, radiant joy. If there is a finish I would do over and over, this is it. I love blending metallics and, at heart, I am a carefree, boho soul that delights in glorious color.
Love is in the details and I hope I show that in all of my work. I created all of the raised details using Re·design with Prima Decor Moulds™: Elegant Borders, Garden Emblem, Thorton Medallion, Kingsbury Medallion, Bridgeport Irongate, Lowell Lattice.
I also added knob moulds to jazz up the plain wood knobs. I painted the dresser in a base of General Finishes Barn Red milk paint, and then layered Modern Master’s metallics on top. I used Sashay Red, Copper, Tequila Gold, Burnt Orange, Rich Gold, and Pink Topaz.
I stenciled using Re·design with Prima’s Stick and Style Casa Blanca Stencil and the Morocco Stencil. You can watch the videos of how I did this on my page. I used a plethora of decor waxes to create the iridescent and luminous patterns. My client wanted a peachy and pink sunset tone to go with her new decor. When I finally do our bedroom set, it will be something like this so I can wake up with a smile everyday.- Crystin
